Fear and worrisome fills the air around me yet, I keep it inside. The disappointment I dare not to drop apon my, mother, my sisters, my best friend, nor my companion. Knowing that this secret will crush each and everyone of their hearts.
What gave us the idea of keeping secrets from one another, indeed it may be a minor secret for example one day I was not satisfied with the outfit I had choosen to wear to school, now don't get me wrong, but im a lady who loves to dress up (Occassionaly) in hopes to feel beauty and confidence to where I will recieve compliments from my peers on the cute blouse I chose to wear or the mound of accessories I have dangling from my ears, neck, and wrist.
One hurtful comment will ruin the way an individual looks at his/herself. It may stick with that individual for who knows how long it may never be fixed no matter how many times they have been told sorry. Self confidence is an issue I see numerous teens dealing with, I could blame television, fast food restraunts, parents, etc. truth is no matter what I try to blame for a teens low self confidence on is nothing but a cover up. It all starts with that one secret an individual who coiencidently over heard his/her peers snicker to one another.
If every girl weight 100 or less pounds, with a height of 5'9'', long silky smooth hair, and perfectly shaped nose, eyes, or face structure, then wouldn't we all get tired of looking like one another?
Wouldn't you think a solution for this would be to look NOT normal? exactly because that we no longer want to look beautiful we would rather dye our hair like the rainbow? or not care what our weight is because we believe that weighing 100 pounds and standing 6 feet tall is hideous?
Everyday I ponder why our society came up with the idea that women should look a certain way to be beautiful. When everyone human being is beautiful.

We all have our own little issues to deal with. I'm the same, my issue is trying to look different then everyone else. Once I think I have the only new pair of shoes or a new pair of clothes, eventually someone somewhere will buy the same exact stuff you bought maybe the day or week before. It happens to everyone. It isn't just a single person. Issues will come and go, as we get older we will understand because we get more knowledge. A very personal, but great blog! (:
ReplyDeleteVictoria Secret Angels? ;)
ReplyDeleteI agree that majority of the girls today do try to "stand out" from one another but in the end they all look the same, and haven'y quite figure out that they do all look alike. Sooner or later, hopefully, people just accept who they are as an individual. Awesome blog, Shab.
